Description

MON I-1-02 is specific for human PAI-1. No cross-reactivity is observed with PAI-2 as tested by ELISA and immunoblotting. No reactivity is observed with any other human plasma protein when tested by immunoblotting. MON I-1-02 has successfully been used in ELISA, immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry applications. The immunogen used to produce MON I-1-02 is partially purified human PAI-1. NOTE: Concentration is lot-dependent and can vary from 0.85-1.15 mg/mL

Experimental details

Western blot analysis was performed on whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of Platelets (Lane 1), A549 (Lane 2) and A549 treated with TGF beta (5ng/ml for 8hrs) (Lane 3). The blot was probed with Anti-PAI-1 Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MON I-1-02, 1:1000 dilution) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) Superclonal™ Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # A28177, 0.25 µg/ml, 1:4000 dilution). A 48 kDa band corresponding to PAI-1 was detected in Platelets and is induced in A549 cells upon TGF beta treatment.
